NEW CAFE IN THE NORTH: COMMON CHEFS CAFE

As fellow Singaporeans, I'm sure that there's no denying that you have that love for food as well (come on it's not a bad thing, embrace it!), and especially good food! With tons and tons of new cafes and restaurants constantly popping up by the WEEK, it can be challenging to find good and value for money places to eat. Groups of friends always face the same old dilemma of having to choose where to eat, where to go.... having too many options can be a headache as well.
My purpose of creating this blog is to hopefully be able to share with you guys some great spots to hang out and eat at, as well as where to find some legit (yeah that's right), popular, and value for money food!
To start off, here's a first post on.........
COMMON CHEFS CAFE
Latest hit cafe in the North of Singapore (Sembawang)!! Yeah I know, how many cafes are there actually in the north, I bet you can't even name 3 cafes in the north cause the north of Singapore isn't well known for good food.
But I recently got to know about Common Chefs (from my good old friend at SgCafeHopping) and decided to check it out for myself.
The cafe is located opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre near the famous Sembawang Bai Mee Fen Stall (address added below).

Best part is, they have so many promotions, making eating here very affordable compared to other cafes, plus service and ambience are both good.
Weekday Promotion (12-5pm): 10% off total bill
All Day Promotion: 30% off for second mains
They had many recommended sides, mains, and desserts but I only had space to try their "THE BOSS" burger, Shepherd's Pie, and Hot Peach Tea (for 2 persons) which were GOOD and def worth the try!!

The patty was really tender and juicy, the ingredients chosen made it really tasty as well! Overall, I thought the burger was pretty good! Portion is huge so it'll definitely fill and satisfy you!

Cottage Meat Pie on homemade Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Mushrooms, Caramelised Onions, with smooth Mozzarella Cheese
The much raved about shepherd's pie was indeed REALLY GOOD. The potato was nice and mashy with just the right amount of cheese and minced meat to make it really tasty.
So what's the verdict?
Well, if you stay in the North, you should def check out this place! They have other popular dishes like TRUFFLE TATTER TOTS (potato balls), SOUL FOOD (Cajon fried chicken waffle), cakes and macarons!
This cafe is relatively new but I'm sure it will very soon gain much popularity, especially with the Northlanders!
